十年前的冬至飯局是一場混亂的開端，舅父因誤會與外婆關係破裂，就此拂袖而去。早已躁動不安的爸爸情緒大爆發，舉刀恐嚇提出離婚的媽媽，結果誤傷了女兒，兒子無法原諒父親，繼而離家出走。十年過去，一家人的關係仍然結冰。表妹忽然從英國回港，帶來了舅父的死訊，並希望促成一場冬至飯局，以圓死者遺願。久違的飯局邀請，令眾人檢視自身與家人關係，有人決定出走，亦有人選擇回來。麵臨瓦解的危局，正好也是這個家庭修補關係的契機。
